    Hi, all!

I posted in another thread that EQ made my husband 40 years older, I am hoping to also get some advice about the rest of the cr they just sent.

They did not mark the dispurted item as being disputed,

isn't this a violation of the FCRA?

He has asked more than once to have our current address listed with the correct date in the "since" column. I know it adds points to be at the same address for several years. It only shows when it was "reported."

Is this any type of violation?

He has asked them more than once to remove an incorrect former address. They have not done so. Is this a violation?

There is another person with the same name, he stated this in his dispute letter and asked them to be sure his info is not being confused with the other person. Can we use this to force them to delete or make any changes to his report?

Thanks for any responses!! I wouldn't be able to do any of this without you guys!!!

    Terry,

I am kinda in the same boat. TU added a consumer statement they WILL NOT remove it. It is that one that says "DO NOT CONFUSE WITH COMSUMERS WITH SIMILAR....." Also, they have his drivers licence way wrong. In my state the first letter of your last name is first followed by numbers, his has a W, not even close and the numbers are no where near correct either.

    Thanks for answering me, ohno.

Is this the kind of thing I should sue over? How does anyone get these things corrected, or do they?

Have you tried calling them? I think sometimes talking to a sincere consumer works better than the letters.

Haven't called yet. Just got the report today and hubby was at work. This is the local affiliate and they are very nasty. I doubt that a phone call will work, but since you suggested it, I will have him try.

    Thank you Nursie!

I imagine it would be. I am not fimilar with the FCRA as others here are but if they can't get an age right after requesting it, they are not providing accuarate information. I am not so sure about my consumer statement but it is flagging credit card companies when we apply. Pain and suffering...LOL
