I am stunned! If it wasn't 5:00AM I would be calling my Dad and screaming and screaming, "Wooohooo!!" over and over until he called the cops. Aww, what the hell, this is worth it... <insert pause> Ok, cops are on the way... Anyhow, my other post (Success! But what now?) mentions that my credit report is now 100% collection account free. Well, I just pulled my new TU and EFX scores since the CA deletion. Did I mention I'm stunned? This collection account was from 4.5 (!) years ago and was only for $100 or so. This ONE collection account removal did the following: EXP: 607 -> 624 (+17!) TU: 543 -> 581 (+38!!) EFX: 577 -> 619 (+42!!!) Man, now I wish I had a few more of these things I could get taken off. The best news is that TU told me this morning that 2 charge-offs were verified as not mine by the creditor (good, since they aren't lol) and they'll be off sometime before the end of the 30 day period, which means <crosses fingers> TU will cross the hump into 600 territory. -- swift TU: 581 - EXP: 624 - EFX: 619
Congrats!! Now you don't need all the info I posted. Oh well. I was one of my better posts, too. LOL. I'm really glad it all worked out for you. Bobbi
Hehe, no no, the stuff from the other post is actually very helpful. All of this positive increase today was just from the single collection account removal--I still need to get the settled account removed and 2 charge offs. And, actually, you gave me a very good idea for dealing with another problem I hadn't even mentioned yet. My heads just still spinning from the huge increases on Equifax and TransUnion. Of course, at the same time, it's a bit sickening to think that one pitiful little collection account was dragging my score down so much. -- swift
I know, it's amazing. I'm really glad things worked out for you and that I could be of some help. Keep us updated on your progress. Bobbi
