Hi I disputed 2 items on my Eqifax report (online). They sent me a letter saying they were deleted.(this was almost 2 weeks ago) I checked my Eqifax report today and they are on there still....what do I do?? Thanks Me
Call them immediately. They did this to me, basically what they did was to "forget" to delete it off your report. When they talk to you they will say it was not coded properly and they have to send it back down to the account maintenance department. If you do not call them, it will remain on your report. The report that they send you with the deletion should have shown this deleted.
That was the reason I checked my report today, Because the report they sent me with the letter saying it was deleted still showed the deletion on my report. I call as soon as I get home....Does anyone know what number to call? Thanks so much
When you checked your report, did you order a new one? If you didn't, it will still be there because equifax does not update reports you've already purchased. Just in case you weren't aware of this.
Look at the top of your report and it should indicate the phone number for you to call. Then with your confirmation number...give them a call. What you can do is ask them if youcan fax it over. Circle the items that theysaid they deleted and and send a small memo saying, you said that it was removed now remove it!
