Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather How about in Kansas City? Just a suggestion. I know of a couple people that live where I do that mainly view the board but would probably love to come and see everyone. It would still be about a three hour drive for us but would enjoy meeting everyone. Kansas City has alot of good airfares and casinos!!! LOL Bring on the Roulette!!! LOL Casper72 P.S. One suggestion would be for someone to collect a list of people that would be interested in coming and see where they are from and get a better idea of the distances that we are looking at.
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather You are not to far from where I live George. I live in San Jose California. Lots of things to do on the west coast. Hopefully we will have electricity this summer.
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather How about a West Coast and an East Coast gathering? We could communicate through the web via Camera!
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather Airfare what it is, I vote George's! Hey George, get a bunch of those little hotel soaps If on the East Coast, DC is fine and right in the center of things. I am right in Georgetown (we need the tourism $$). I am bicoastal about the whole thing...Either way, I'm in. -Peas, Dave
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather Back in 1994 when I still lived in NY, and back when BBS's (Bullentin Board Services) were still popular, a handful of us from the board got together in Brooklyn, NY. We all had a good time. Are there more of us on the east coast?
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather The only answer to this question is Vegas, folks. Everyone comes to Vegas at one time or another.
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather Ding! And we have a winner! (just as we were considering Iowa or Kansas...DaveLV reminds us of SinCity!) -Peas, Dave
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather I'll second that. Got back from Green Valley Station eariler tonight. Made some money. Had some fun. AND hotel rooms here are low priced, for all you out of towners.
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather I vote for DC. I can handle the one hour drive. Actually, anything within four hours each way I will do. Dani
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather Doc's invitation to Knoxville sounds good, I haven't been there since the Butcher Bros. story. But Doc, can't we get you out to the west coast? Like maybe La Jolla, CA? Or Laguna Niguel? If we really consider everybody, should we pick a city that is an easy central airport hub with low fares and low hotel room rates like Dallas, Atlanta, or Salt Lake City? If we had it in Salt Lake City, maybe Jason would invite us over. He's certainly got an enormous mansion. And Doc, you could easily fly or drive to Dallas or Atlanta.
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather Maybe we should have more than one? This is getting good! You can fly for pocket change these days!
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather I vote for Vegas, but later in the year, like maybe May or June. www.creditsense.com
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather I'm on the Vegas bandwagon 4sure. Late February will be a lot less expensive than May or June, but I couldn't go until after the Salt Lake games. I'll seldom turn down a reason to return to Vegas.
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather I would say NJ, but I don't wanna hear your bad NJ jokes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, unless we do a west coast & east coast meet, I vote for someplace central, as long as it's not in the middle of nowhere (you know where I mean, so I won't name names).
Re: Annual Creditnet Posters gather I vote no for separate east coast/west coast. I think it needs to be somewhere central, so everybody can go. So, I vote for Tucson, nah, just kidding. Somewhere in the midwest with gambling would be perfect for me. And why is it that when I suggested this last year, it was shot down fairly quick?
