I'm so sick of the roadblocks. EVERYTHING I dispute comes back verified, verified, verified. I have enty after entry marked "verified" Its as if they are watching every move I make (with my credit report)

I'm trying to be optomistic, but I'm running low at this point.

Actually I've just started doing that. I sent out a validation letter crrr. I've recieved the green card back, but have not heard anything from the collection agency (its been atleast two weeks since I sent out the letters)

I often feel like you. I was convinced that I was tagged by the CRA's and they were determined not to delete anything! I started disputing almost two years ago and because everything came back as verified I gave up. Well now guess what? Two years later and my scores have actually gotten lower.

Back then you couldn't get your score but a car dealer told me what mine was. Two years of perfect credit has done nothing for my scores. Why? Because those negs are still there! If I had not gave up so easily I could probably be in the 700 club. I've read where some people have had to dispute an account nearly 10 times before deletion occured. I've gotten my first deletion recently and know I can get more.

    Hang in there!

I've had great success by disputing directly with the creditors. The CRAs pay some twit $6.50/hour to verify information on your account and I've heard they have 5(6?) minutes to do a verification. Do you really trust someone making minimum wage (with no real training) with one of your most important documents?

The only verification you should do with them is for inquiries. Everything else, go directly to the creditor or collection agency.

    Killer,

Two years later and you're scores are lower - damn that has to be depressing.

As far as disputing ten times, from what I've read on here, the CRA will just decline you're request for a reverification after the second time. If I'm wrong here, I hope someone will corect me.

    Thanks,
    Sal

    Brute,

Thanks for the advice, I will now ALWAYS go directly to the creditor for verification. I really hope it works this time, I need some wins to get me going again.

    Thanks,
    Sal

CRA are bound by the FCRA and it's our jobs to make them live up to it. And if they still ignore you there are state and federal agencies plus legal rememdies that can be taken.

Yes, they pay someone minimum and they probably don't train them properly and I'm quite sure they are clueless as to what the law really is and that it even exists!

I almost don't blame the low paid employees - why should they care, they can't afford anything at that amount of money. But on the same hand if you hate your job, get some education and find a better one!

I don't know what the answer is. But, know your right and make them follow the law.

    The squeaky wheel gets oiled!!!!!!!
