I've been having problems getting a collection account off a friends credit report. I've disputed the account directly with the creditor, but the address given by the credit bereaus is incorrect(I suspect they are out of business) and the telephone # is disconnected. Yet when I dispute the account it is verified by both equifax and experian (I wonder what phone # they are using). So, if anyone has some advice or at least these bums true address or phone # it would be appreciated! Sam

I just got an account deleted for these reasons. send a validiation letter crrr. when it comes back because it is undeliverable send a copy of the envelope with a dispute letter to the cra's saying that you attempted to verify this debt at the address they gave you and should be deleted. good luck
