Just curious, how many people have gotten deletion of an item for payment say in the last 12 months. Any details too. i'm mostly interested in collection tradelines, but any stories..
I got deletion for payment about 3 months ago. I negotiated with the original creditor and had them send me a letter, since the collection agency wouldn't play ball. The CRA's told me that a letter from the original creditor will work just as well as a CA letter, provided it references the CA's name and account number. -- cnswift
I had a $125 CO that was 3 years old, I called the creditor (no CA involved) and played stupid, saying I don't remember having an account with them blah blah blah, and said I wuld pay it ONLY if it could be removed!
