   I recently applied for Cap 1 Platinum but was denied. They said however I was approved for another card...I thought it was the classic, since I don't have that one. Well, the card that came in the mail is another gold card. Now I have two Cap 1 Gold cards. I don't want two of them. Any suggestions?

   After both of the accounts age 6 months call Cap One and have them combined into one account. Then you will only have one gold card.
