CAP1 ...I blew it!

    I was charged off w/ Cap1 7/01....and unfortunately it was before I even new about this board... I feel like I blew it! Since this is so recent, what is the best thing I can do about resolving this account? I have read many things about Mr. Cooke, and Mr. Miller...has anyone dealt with them with similar circumstances? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    my dh charged off with cap one in 10/01 and 07/01. We wrote letter to Mr.Cooke. He sent an agreement to pay off the accounts and change status to r5, which we agreed to. he even gave us 60 days to get the payments in. use PFB to write letter to cap one and see what happens.

    When you used PFB, did you address it specifically to Mr. Cooke? I haven't used PFB before...I know this is a long shot, but did he grant you credit priveledges again? Also, did your status change to paid or paid/charge off?

    (Sorry so many ?'s!)

    r5 = At least 120 days or more than for payments past due

    when i did the pfb, i just addressed the letter to cap one, i guess it went to mr. cooke. once account has been paid
    we can apply for new account, i did not ask for account reinstatement.

    PFB to Cap1 automatically goes to Mr. Cooke or Mr. Miller.
