When I try to start an investigation online with equifax, it say's " unable to do an online invest please call or email" what's up with that? i've done an investigation with them before? Thanks
The only thing I can think of is that you have to go through one of the regional offices. Equifax pulls info from regional databases, I'm in Texas and to initiate a dispute I have to contact CSC Credit Services.
This has happened to me in the past. Make sure you are entering the correct address/zipcode that appears on the report you are disputing. My address keeps going back and forth between old and new, the old mind you is well over a year but it keeps popping back up.
That happened to me twice. Apparentely the dispute still goes thru, because my two occasions showed up and were researched as if done online. Someone told me it was because if you have either 1 or 2 current dispute with them it will prompt you to call or email and also if you use the same confirmation# they send you......
