I haven't seen any posts about them in about a month. Does anyone have any first or even second hand experience with them that they can share? Lexington has really dropped the ball lately and I cancelled with them.

    Thanks,
    Summer

As I recall, the only person touting their services was Bkev and his alter-ego, aka, or whatever you call it.

Regarding their refund policy (from their website):

    10. Warranty: You, the client, must complete the full six months of the retainer, send in all correspondence received from creditors and credit bureaus, and provide our firm credit reports as needed. If you do not see any positive results or an increase in your scores (emphasis mine), then all monthly fees will be refunded.

Over a six month period, your scores will probably increase, however marginally, just by virtue of paying your bills, letting accounts age, etc. And that's without paying $309 ($99 set up + $35 x 6). I'm not necessarily trying to dissuade anybody from signing up with them or any other firm...just keep in mind that your definition of a money-back guarantee might differ slightly from theirs.

A quick search for credit repair firms certainly yields quite a few companies other than just Lexington and Junum. Here's the list I just put together along with the dates of registration for their internet domain names, arranged in alphabetical order. I'm sure there are others I didn't find. (Beware of new players with slim track records, though. I've asterisked [***] the firms who are newer than 12 months.)

[*** in business less than 1 year]

Most of them seem to have copied Lexington's business plan, however a couple differ tremendously. ICR, for example, is a multi-level marketing plan which sells financial books and "gives away" the credit repair service. NFORC styles itself as a consumer advocacy organization. It's interesting to see how various credit repair groups market themselves differently.
