Does anyone know how long it takes the CRA's to update after receiving a UDF for account deletion? I have seen them delete as fast as 72 hours after receipt, but I have been waiting for over a week. The creditor sent the UDF last monday, they provided me with a copy of the UDF and fax transmittal is it normal to take this long?
I'm still waiting for Equifax to update from a UDF since 2/8. They told me it could take anywhere from 30 - 90 days.
No WAY I'll accept that! They have to verify in 30 days but its okay for them to knowingly report false or incorrect information on my credit report for three months after they have been notified of the inaccuracies? I don't think so. If it hasn't updated by the end of this week, I'll be faxing them, calling them and generally making a nuisance of myself. L
Okay, so maybe not. I decided to call Equifax and got the standard "we have 30 to 90 days to update". I told her then that that meant they were knowingly report incorrect information for 30 to 90 days after they received information stating the information was false and she said she didn't like me putting words in her mouth. Gulf State verfied on February 23...two days AFTER they faxed the UDF. Go figure! Anyway...it seems the FASTEST way to get the report updated is to dispute again and then it should update within the 30 days versus the 30 to 90 days. :::sigh::: They sure do everything they can to make this difficult, don't they??? I disputed again. Blahhhhhhhh! L
