I read on another post that someone said that TU was a 'hard' delete. I'm not sure I understand. What about the 2? I just had a real nasty account deleted from TU and I did not get excited, because, I figure it will come back real soon. It was a charged off credit card from Providian. TU deleted it but I figured it was because Providian didn't answer them fast enough, and TU will put it back as soon as Providian does answer them. Can I get a little excited now and think that this might stay off? If it does, can I use the fact that TU deleted it to get the other 2 to delete as well? And if so how? Just send the TU report to the other 2?

    Thanks!!

I don't providian is responding to disputes especially charge offs, my hubby just had his C/O with them deleted from 2 out of 3 bureaus, we're waiting on the 3rd bureau now.
Just dispute with the other 2 bureaus, with Providian going through all their changes they probably won't respond. Just hold onto the reports that show deleted in case it pops back on and the CRA's dont tell you!

    KMH,

If it pops back on what do I do? Will they delete it again if I just contact them and tell them they deleted it once before??

    KHM,

Use the fact that they did not give you notification within 5 days of them reinserting it, if that happens.

Excerpt from the FCRA section 611:
(ii) Notice to consumer. If any information that has been deleted from a consumer's file pursuant to subparagraph (A) is reinserted in the file, the consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of the reinsertion in writing not later than 5 business days after the reinsertion or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means available to the agency.
