They have 2 listings on Equifax for an account, and they list as open, 120 days past due.... This is a charge-off credit card. And now they have it listed under OSI as well, as open 120 days late. The 2 gulf state listings were disputed, still pending, what do you guys think? Obviously this is inaccurate info. Also one of the listings changed from 2 120+ to 3 120+, is this a violation? how can they update it like that on what was a chargeoff? Thanks.

Do a search for Gulf State. There have been a ton of posts on this very topic over the past couple of weeks.

Gulfstate is notorious for doing this, and yes it's a violation for reportin inaccurate information! They are doing the same to me. Just be patient with this one, and prepare your self for a battle...inform them you are keeping detailed records of their correspondence when you send validation, estoppell, ect (crrr).....it may take a demand letter (via fax) to get them to back off! Good luck! I have just sent off my 1st validation to them as they verified an item as "paid" when they had sold my account over a YEAR ago to another CA (that I foolishly paid)...now how can they claim that I paid them???
