Hi. I'm looking for the best place to obtain my baseline credit score(with a report, of course) for comparison for when my repair that I need to start on starts helping. I really don't wish to subscribe to a monitoring service, but I've got this new debit card so I can finally do some online purchases and was just wanting everyone's opinion before I start to shop. Maybe one from each bureau? The only report I have so far is the worthknowing. Thanks.
https://www.econsumer.equifax.com/webapp/ConsumerProducts/pgConsumerProducts? $12.95 OR 4 FOR $38.85 NOT~WORTHKNOWING IS 1-100 NOT F.I.C.O. BUT IT'S FREE (TRANS UNION)...
You can subscribe to www.creditexpert.com and mark the date on your calendar. Make sure you cancel by the 27th day after you join. I always wait about 2-3 days and then re-join with a new username. I have been doing it since November and have never paid for the service. You can get a free TU score by going to www.eloan.com and it's a little better than NOT worthknowing. Use the eloan score along with notworthknowing's report. Or you can go to www.transunion.com and when it asks have you recently been denied credit, check yes and type in Capital One. I have been doing this daily for about 3 months even with NO capital one inquiry on my report.
Until they catch you and charge the year to your credit card anyway...lol. Afterall, it does say a 30 day trial...not a thirty day trial every 33 days <wink> I'm too much of a coward to try to cheat. I wouldn't be good at it...lol. L
Christy, Thanks for the info on getting free report from TU, didn't realize one could do that. ------------- Illini EX - 605 EQ - 630 TU - 683
