Ok I'm sure most of you know the deal with the repo hubby has/had. I paced back and forth wondering which way to go with this, validation, threaten a suit, ignore it and hope it goes away. I got so tired of of it, I wrote a letter stating how unethical the VP of operations is and how he has handled this situation. I quoted the violations I had them in for FCRA violations and FDCPA violations. Basically it was 3 pages of me babling and in the end I said my lawsuit WILL be filed on 4/10/02 if this isn't fixed by then. (I think the letter is VERY UNprofessional and hand written to boot, I was just fuming and wrote it.) Well I wrote it last night and immediately faxed it over to them. on the cover page I put LAST LETTER BEFORE LAWSUIT IS FILED (it was actually my first letter sent to them hehe.) Well I'm a t work and hubby called me to say a fax came in at 830am from their attorney. It was a UDF form saying to delete this account, and an apology of their error!!!! WOOHOO!!! GO ME!!!!
Love- The CA. Hubby had spoke to him several times and kept saying "well I think it's your debt" while hubby was saying it isn't so prove it. The lienholder is out of business.
OH MORE GOOD NEWS!!! One of hubbys paid collection accounts has been removed, by evil Credit Bureau Services of NH. It's starnge they would remove this one cause they just sent the form he signed when treated at the hospital, (sent after my nutcase letter was sent). BUT WHO CARES!!! ITS GONE!!! That leaves 2 paid 1 partially paid, and this repo that will be off soon WOOHOO!!!!
I would hardly put myself in the same category with Christi, but thanks for the compliment. I said to hubby last night he was free to divorce me cause his credit is soon to be better than mine. lol
ALL RIGHT!!! I knew you would come up with something brilliant to deal with this! I love to hear about ranting and raving. Too bad they caved so soon, you could have added them to the contributors of the down payment for your new house. LOL. Keep it up, Kell. Bobbi
Way to go Kellie! All that worrying and pacing was for a good cause...it got you so frustrated you wrote the best letter you could have....one that totally solved your situation. A frenetic hand written jumble of thoughts beginning and ending with "lawsuit imminent". Great job. -Peace, Dave
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!!!!!!!! I hope I have the same success with ASSet. I have a deep and personal hate for that company. I've filed complaints, so I hope I have some success. It seems to me that these ca are not scared of the governement agencies only a lawsuit. If I have to then I will file one.
