What were your scores and what negatives did you have? I've had the guest card since June and am thinking about getting the guts to apply...I shouldn't but if it looks like I might have a chance..... Please let me know, thanx everyone...I want prime!
Soup, have you tried calling them and asking them if they'd convert you over, since you've been a valued Guestcard customer. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about wasting an inquiry. I'd give it a shot. You could even play the trick of "I'm calling to check the status of my transfer to the Target Visa." And when they say they don't see anything about it, INSIST that you called in the other day for something and the person told you you were eligible for the Visa card and you told them to go ahead with it. Best of Luck!
Matty, I think I did ask a few months ago, but they told me the were two seperate isssues same bank though...you can't change one to the other...which s*cks....maybe I'll call and see if anything has changed...anyone have a heads up?
I was just denied last night with a TU score of 650. I've had a Guest Card for almost a year. I called and asked if that helped at all and she told me no. They don't factor in that you have a guest card.
The Target Visa is from Retailers National Bank, which I am pretty sure is where the Guest Card is issued out of. I'd give it a shot; you'll never know until you tried.
I have a Target Visa. I had four negatives on Experian (which they pulled for me in Nevada) and my ce score was (if I remember correctly, you can search the board for it to be sure) 667.
OUCH! I thought for sure Target Visa pulled TU. They didn't - they pulled Equifax. That's why I was declined - my EFX score is in the toilet - 557 due to several duplicate student loans reporting.
soup, I had 2 pd chgoffs showing plus some lates (all over 2 years old) and just a few inquiries. They pulled Equifax in OH and I had a 664 at the time. Here's a thread about it. http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...ostid=111021&highlight=Target+Visa#post111021
