I got a pre-approved offer for a platinum VISA from Capital One. The offer was for a card with a limit from $500-$7,500, APR of 14.9% fixed, and an annual fee of $39. I responded to the offer and got a credit line for $7,500!!! WOW! I was only hoping for a $1,000 to $2,000 credit line. Now I can use this account for a about a year and ask Mr. Cooke to upgrade to a No-Hassle Platinum card with no annual fee and 8.9% APR. My credit stats: TU=697 EQ=648 EXP=643 A Chap 7 BK from 10/97 Capital One pulled Experian for this card. I already have a gold Capital One VISA, $2400 credit line, no annual fee, 13.9% APR that Mr. Cooke created in January, 2002 from two other VISA cards, one of which he unsecured in October, 2001. I love Capital One and Mr. Cooke! I also wish to thank this board and its members for all the help in getting my credit reports fixed. THANK YOU! Tim
Wow, congratulations Tzank !!!!! Capital One gave you a very nice credit limit !! Your scores are very good.
Capital One pulls from all three...at least they did with me. I'd still PFB Mr. Cooke to have the $39 fee removed. I only had a $500 limit and he removed the fee (As well as bump the amount to $800). And at that time I had Eq 638, Ex 613 TU 673... GT
Capital One and Mr. Eugene Cooke are great! I sent a PFB letter to them and got my annual fee removed! Tim
Mr Cooke removed the annual fee from my Gold card too. I also asked about lowering the 14.95% APR but he wouldnt since I was still in the 0% intro APR
Retention can take you to 12.9% APR instantly (possibly even lower). If they make you an offer higher than 12.9%, say you're not sure you can take it. A better offer should come right up. Saar
