I can never get my Equifax report online directly from them because they always have new mistakes on it. When I put in verifying info, it is rejected because they have given me a new address, phone number, name, social security number, etc. since the last corrections. I am forced to write a letter requesting it. Then they send back a form asking for detailed prood of who I am. It is about 4 -5 weeks process to get my report. So, is there anywhere else to get it, or will I have the same verification problems?
When I got my reports the first couple of times, they kept flip-flopping my current and previous addresses, which caused problems whenever I tried to get a new ScorePower report. After one call to 888-532-0179, however, they straightened it out pretty easily (after I gave them some identifying credit info, like CC limits, current balances, etc.). Was I correct in reading that they listed you as having a new social security #, though? In that case, I don't know... wajaba
They gave me two new social security numbers plus two new identities, including one female identity. I am going to try it now online and if I don't suceed, I will call the number.
Wow, multiple personalities! Cool! =) I had this problem too with Trans Union. The easiest way I found to get around it was to order a tri-merged report from Consumerinfo.com because it was easier to verify my identity through them and the report they give you provides all the identifying info each CRA has on you. I then used that info to get verified with TU. You situation is unique though.
