I have a Bank First credit card charged off $410; Settled with the law firm that bought my account for $250. The faxed me a letter saying that the account is paid/settled. I called Bank First so they can delete/change to paid but they wouldnt do it. They are reporting it as account closed/ sold. And its showing R9. I tried to change it to R5 but nope, the dont want to. They say that they sold the account to the law firm- and the law firm should update but the law firm isnt on my credit report -what should I do?
I would try the nutcase letter. Do a search on the board for it. I believe this letter would be sent to the Law Fiirm.
