I don't believe it...after checking Credit Manager a few minutes ago...

Experian actually marks disputed, incorrect addresses as under investigation...

How can they possibly verify this??? I'm assuming there is some data located somewhere in my credit file accounts that denote where I applied for that account.

    Anyone else see this?

I always thought they immediately removed incorrect addresses.

    I'm bewildered...

    Yes, I know.

I explained it in a different thread. Stay tuned. I'll post my Credit Biography in the next week or so...

The lowered score is a result of changing charge off accounts to "incl in BK" and closing 2 credit cards...that's it. I've had perfect credit since my '98 BK.

    Quick 'n' easy

Looks like the investigation was only a few hours long...

I just checked CM and those disputed addresses are gone.

Sheeeesh...I was hoping they would contact me with a request to submit an updated UDF for verification...

    hahaha....ok, bad joke.

I disputed incorrect addresses a few weeks back- they deleted the numerous incorrect ones- a day later they posted a new "nonsense" address for me. The disputes will never end...

    How about this notation:

"Note: Former address 123 Main Street is listed as an Amusement/Recreation Facility"

    call me "Rodnea," George

every single time I think they've got it right, something else bizarro appears

lately the wrong DOB, closed accounts open, date of activity on an account I closed in 1997 changed to
3/02 because I called to make SURE it was closed
    and on and on

If any other biz in America operated like CRA they would be bankrupt

we perfectionist types should probably give up
because it is stacked against us

like I said, our only hope is arming ourselves with
    knowledge and persistence
    (euphemism for stubbornness?)

How do you dispute former addresses with EXP. I want to get my former addresses off my file.

    Thanks,

Yep. I have a past address that says "non-residential agricultural business address" and my current address says "non-resisdential, trade/construction address"-- I live on a dead-end street, no businesses anywhere close (in fact it is residential only zone). They will never get it right...

incidently, to me it is a good idea to get as many addresses off as possible, some of the credit bureaus (in particular experian) have other information associated with the addresses that they don't disclose(against the law). Namely i've seen credit reports from banks and crediters where the date the address was reported is on there and whether or not you reported that you rent or own the house.
So, how do you dispute information that isn't reported?????
