I just received the letter. You know I'm checking tomorrow to make sure!) However, would forwarding a copy of the letter to the CRA's hurt?

Surely they wouldn't kid a girl, like "THAT".

    acs112,

Now, understand that I have sent 3 validation letters to Arrow with no response. They did NOT put a "dispute" notation on my credit report AND they verified every time I disputed the account through the CRA's. Here it is. BTW, I don't know if they REALLY violated the FCBA, but it sounded good. They violated everything else, so they might have though that I knew something "they" didn't know.)

    Re: Account #5555. . .

    Arrow Financial Services:

I have recently received an updated copy of my Experian credit report. This credit report is still showing a collectioin account from Arrow Financial Services.

Please be aware that I have sent Arrow Financial Services two certified dispute letters dated March 06, 2002 and April 01, 2002. I called to confirm their receipt as phone records support. I have USPS Certified Mail receipts for proof as well.

It is a violation of the Fair Credit Billing Act to make a negative report to a credit bureau if the item is in dispute. It is a violation to report that an account is not in dispute while an item "is" in dispute as well as pulling a hard inquiry without valid reason. Arrow Financial Services is guilty of these violations and several others.

Your failure to follow these laws has forced me to draft a lawsuit against Arrow Financial Services for the following:

    1) Violation of the Fair Credit Billing Act
    2) Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act
    3) Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
    4) Defamation of Credit
    5) Negligence
    6) Loss of Opportunity
    7) Willfull Non-Compliance
    8) Injunction seeking immediate court ordered relief from further credit damage

This is an offer of an out of court settlement prior to a lawsuit being filed. If you agree to delete all information from my credit reports immediately, then I will agree not to seek further damages to which I am entitled. If you do not delete this information from my credit report, then my lawsuit will be filed on Monday, April 29, 2002 in Texas Circuit Court. I will be seeking damages in excess of $12,000.

If you wish to notify me that you are agreeing to delete all information from my credit reports and closing this matter, you must call prior to the close of business on Friday, April 26, 2002.
I can be reached at 713-555-1212.

    Sincerely,

    Keller

By the way fellow Arrow Avengers, I retained an attorney from Chicago, and we are suing Arrow for willfull noncompliance of the the FDCPA and the FCRA, and we are also suing Equifax for verifiying the tradeline as accurate even though I provided them with documentation proving they never validated as I requested. We are suing Arrow and Equifax for statutory and punitive damages in excess of $10,000! I'm going to string them up like they deserve. Stay tuned for more details...

    Keller,

Have you verified that Arrow has deleted from your report?

I received notification from Arrow that they were deleting from my report on Monday 4/22/02.

I just checked my report and Arrow is still there.

I received a letter on tuesday 4/23/02 from another CA that they were deleting, and it has been removed from my EXP report already.

I'm going to send another e-mail to everybody @ Arrow again and see what happens.
