I disputed an item with Experian that IC System was reporting as a collection account. I sent a validation letter to them. They reported the item back to Experian with "no status". So under status now it is written in "no status". They still have this acoumnt listed as a negative account. Can they do this? I argued and argued with the CR that if the account has no status then how can you presume it to be negative? The CR said that because I. C. System is a collection company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Hve you disputed it yet via the CA? They may have sent it back to the original creditor.

I am having problems with IC Systems as well. They definitely don't want to cooperate. Keep us updated. Charlie

I just got off the phone again with experian. They are still saying that when an item has no status it is considered a negative if the company reporting it is a collection agency. I did dispute this with IC System under the fair credit reporting act and requested validation.
I thought if a company couldnt prove a debt it was deleted. And is a no status really a negative?

Yes. No status, unsettled, consumer dispute are all negative. Charlie
