I currently have a high interest rate loan with Household, I would like to refi, but do not think I can right now... anyways, when I call their automated system to get payoff information it gives three options, one is if you are trading in the car, buying a new one, the other is if you are refinancing with another company, and then there is also an option if you are needing it for another reason.. Ok, so when you select the trade in option it just gives you the amount, buyt if you slect refi.. they transfer to live person... I have yet to talk to this person, but I think MAYBE they will try to keep the business? I am thinking about calling back later and bluffing a refi deal.. what do you guys think? ANyone know anything about this?
I am waiting until I get off of work, and I will see what they say... I do not think they will offer me a better APR to stay with them.. but why would they transfer you to live person otherwise? Currently I owe 10k, I will be making 5k payment early June, but still thats 5k at 21%. If I can not get better deals, I want this paid off by January.
BLUFF PLAN IN PLAY!! I called their 800# to check if my recent extra payment $900.00 posted.... it did... finally... so I went to find out the payoff now, chose the re-fi option and finally got a live person.. she gave me the number, and asked if I was refinancing with another company.. I said yes.. she asked at what rate... I said I have been offered 16% so far... ( I am sitting at 21%) she said that I qualify for a possible refi so they can keep the business.. she asked me to fax my new insurance info, they would pull a soft and see what they could do. **yesterday, peoplefirst, roadloans, CAP1 Auto, wouldnt touch me, but hopefully Household will see these inquirys and give me my 16%... I thought 16% was a decent number to shoot for... Seems believable... Ill let you guys know the results... either way this baby is getting paid off, but might as well drop the APR in the meantime...
Radio- You were far too easy on them!!! *I* would have gone for 12 at most (depending on your scores) hehehe. still 16 % IS ALWAYS better than 21%
