Is there somewhere I can get the infomation on whether Asset Acceptance is licensed in my state (WI)? Also, if they are not, what can I do once I know that?

Call your Secretary of State's office and ask them. Also look to see if they are bonded in your state.

They may not need local licensing, but they still need to be bonded, don't they?

No, not if they are collecting for an out of State creditor. They can't sue,but they can do everything else.
