I had a call last night about a Premier One Mastercard. The CL is $2500 and 0% APR for 6 months. But the catch is $159 initial setup fee. My question, since I'm rebuilding credit this is the best offer THUS far. Should I pay the $159 and take the card? It's $1250 higher limit than any of my other cards... Looking for general feedback on Premier One!!! Thanks!
Check out the Customer service Num. 1-866-892-6017 The shady thing about it is I can not find any information on the web. Where would I go to make sure this is a legit company? They wanted my bank account number last night to withdraw the $159 but I wasn't about to give it out to someone who just happened to be calling. I need a detective here... Anyone up to the challenge? Who is Premiere One...
Re: Check out the Customer service Num. Take a look at this: http://www.idahofalls.bbb.org/commo....php&bureau=ifalls&compid=A2040348&national=Y
Re: Check out the Customer service Num. I have never heard of Premier One. I suggest you stay away from them. Sounds like a scam. Don't ever give anyone your bank account number untill you have verified that the company is legit and is not a rip off.
Re: Check out the Customer service Num. Damn it... I wanted the 0% APR to move my remaining amount off my Discover.... SH%$%$%! IT's kind of like a light socket... I kind of want to stick my finger in it to see what will happen.... Of course $160 bucks would pay down my discover a little too, huh? They think they can dangle small incentives and people will just jump at it... Pisses me off. I hope it's legit but odds are its not...
Re: Check out the Customer service Num. Maybe it is First Premier One. I got an preapproved offer from them yesterday. It was $79 annal fee $29 processiong fee and some other fees. I immediatley threw it away...
Re: Check out the Customer service Num. If it does not feel right, than chances are it's not right. Pass on it. You have a Discover card so your score should be decent. Use that to find another cc company that is established. If this board has not heard of it, than its good indication. Best regards, Mirage
Thanks for the advice. Well, I think I'll wait and go through proper channels with companies that are more notable. Just seems odd to say. "Hey here's a $2500 CL with 0% APR for $159 even though your credit report looks a lot like a day old diaper."
Re: Thanks for the advice. I'd gotten an offer from Capital Choice a while ago, offering a decent credit line in exchange for fees (totalling about $150). Was watching TV the other night. They interviewed a woman who took Capital Choice up on their offer (she was rebuilding credit too). They took not only the fees but $400 plus dollars from her account. Not only that, but they had other companies debiting her bank account too. She called them about the problem but they only gave her empty promises to return her call. They did not refund her money either. What a rip off!
The real story Didn't take long to find someone wiling to talk on the other end... I kept calling back until someone answered who wanted to talk. There is NO lender bank. IT is a Mastercard that is pay as you go. They want you to do a voice recording to your bank authorizing account use. Whose to say that they don't use this more than once? They also said they WERE a menber of the BBB. But wouldn't fax the disclosure info to me before sending in the $$$... Can't someone just shut them down now before they really screw up someone who will listen to them?
