I received a copy of a UDF from a CA sent to all three CRA's instructing them to delete the acct in question ASAP. How long does this process typically take? (or should I do something with the copy I was sent?) The UDF was dated/sent out on 4/29. Thanks! NiceGuy
I had a letter from the CA stating that they will cease all collection activity and encouraged me to check with the CRA's. I faxed the letter to the CRA's, and EX deleted in 5 days. Got 2 dang points. Charlie
Niceguy, To speed it up and get it done within 5 business days, fax the udf and any letter you may have received with it to the cra's. The fax # to send it to Equifax is 866-233-3777. I don't know the fax #'s for the other 2. I did this 2 months ago with Equifax and it was deleted within 3 days.
I don't know, I re-faxed my UDF to Equifax, they finally accepted it (according to their service rep) but said they would take up to 30 days to delete it because they are so backed up. It makes me nervous because they deleted a judgment I had disputed, but not the other. I guess that's good... I will just wait...
LKH and DanceRat, Who really knows 3 days for person 30 for another..............15 for yet another. The horrible thing about it is there is NO timeframe that they think they have to adhere to, because no one challenges them. Except the creditnetters. Has anyone noticed all the newbies? Charlie
