we had a loan with *** Finance Company

on two of our reports (equifax and tu) it is listed twice with two different account numbers and two different comments - but the rest is exactly the same and both are marked as paid as agreed or never late or in the case of equifax one says paid account zero balance and the other says account transferred or sold

    my question is this

should i just leave it alone since they should be a positive tradeline being that they say it was paid never late or should i make them fix it? i mean both balances are in the 10k range as high credit but i only had one car thru them

    help!

    peace, jimrie

    Jimrie-
Personally if you still owe a balance and they are saying you don't, I wouldn't bother with it.

The transferred/sold comment usually means you traded the car, or the original company got sold. The only time it would be negative is if you were delinquent.

I think having 2 paid in full loans/never late on your report will help you down the road for additional car loans. My Honda shows PIF on EQU, and I'm not about to touch it, it helped my score about 15 points.

    thanks for the reply

no we don't owe a balance. we were never late and it reports that as such

i will not bother with it if it helps my score. i am just finding out about this "ratio" thing they have and i didn't want it to hurt me with having an extra trade line with that big of a balance

    thanks!
