PacBell Park was designed to wothstand an 8.0.
I remeber that Oct 17, 1989 5:04 pm when the Bay Bridge dropped in the center section and I remember vividly the cars on the bridge that were driving 60 miles an hour and BAM - no bridge and they dropped to the lower level of the bridge.

Then I remember the Cypress freeway across the bay - the whole top freeway dropped on the bottom roads crusshing those cars and people.

Sorry guys - probably just the one 5.2. That's not normally the way earthquakes work - and this was near Loma Preita - the same fault that smashed SF
    last time.

Oh well - wiill watch the news and wonder - you cannot help it once it shakes. The worst thing about the 1989 earthquake was the numbert of aftershocks - hundreds of small earth giggles.
You wondered if you should put the glasses back on the shelf/.

Its a different experience and a rush until you realize the land underneath you is hifting or moving.

aarrff aroo - MP snap me when you get this one.

I live in South San Jose and felt it pretty good. My dogs started to bark before the shaking.

Now if they would ONLY bark when one is coming, you would have an ALARM...

Dave / GEORGE / Butch - you al are great thinking about giving us good luck.

    Much appreciated friends.

Amazing how AOL has slowed down now - people are jamming their network in the Bay - I see the slowdown in the DSL.

    arrfing along - dogman

MTM will probably be RE-RUN in a few weeks if enough people have HISSY FITS...

Just heard on the news some fire sprinklers ruptured at the Walmart in Gilroy. Nobody hurt. Looked like water coming from the side of the building.

Pretty cool Sassy. Thanks for the link. (I see your fingers have recovered from that Chex Systems post...great information).

BTW the best line from that MTM show was when Murray (Gavin Macleod) walked in and saw Sue Anne's (Betty White's) bedroom...without hearing it live with timing, typing it here won't do it justice but if you saw it, you would have laughed your head off...even through an earthquake.

Ha! Only in the Bay Area, I swear...

Me and the kids were kicken back in their room watching wrestling and the window started shaking violently! :-O

Ran in the kitchen and made the kiddies get under the tabe and *duck and cover*. Then I ran around for a hot sec trying to figure out what I was going to do. Then it was over! Then the phone calls started....been on the phone since until now! :-(

Hey...this was NOTHING compared to 1989. I'm use to it...
