I am very optimistic about Schrold. Like I said before they seem to be the oldest in the business. In the credit restoration business I would think that if you are not doing a decent job you wouldn't last to long. As for what letters they use I have no idea and honestly as long as they are effective I truly don't care. I have been dealing with this issue for some time now and I no longer have the time. I'll give them three months and if they haven't deleted anything I'll cancel and I think their contract states you can get three months worth of payments back also. I honestly think they will do a decent job. I have a total of 8 negative items and I would like to see them all taken care of in about 9 months max. I wonder if I'm being unrealistic? You guys are great keep the info coming.
LisaMc, Thats where I was going with my questioning when Lizardking cut to the chase. I believe that Creditnetters have as good or better success rate as this guy. I hope that he does wonders for you. Then the ones that are prolems you can use this site to finish the job. What is his link? Charlie
I really don't recall anyone saying anything bad/nagative about his office. Sometimes they can do wonders, sometimes they can't. Some people can get a bk removed, others can't get a correct address listed on the CR. It's all crap shoot. You just keep at it and hope your letter gets to the CRA on a Friday before a holiday and everyone is off and the people who are there are pissed off because they are there and don't really pay too close attention to what they are doing and your deletion request just goes on by and is removed. You know, stuff like that
Here it is, Charlie. The website could use some pizzazz. http://wehelpcredit.secure-serverlink.com/index2.html
It is true that you can do this process yourself. I know I have done it all thanks to this board. However the stuff I was successful in removing was mostly older accounts from my boyfriends report. Stuff that would have fallen off in about a year anyway. So after a validation or two I was able to get a deletion. Honestly I think they just dodn't want to be bothered. However, my case is a little different. I have at least three years to go before anything falls off and after the first two rounds of validation it appeared that they were ready to play hardball. I did however have one accomplishment that some people on this board said would be extremely difficult. I had a collection account for about 8,000 from my old university on my credit report. It was removed from equifax but is still showing on TU and I have no idea about experian. That should help alot. Anyways it's out of my hands for the time being. I really hope I did the right thing going with these guys.
LMBOPIMP! Doc, you are gonna get me fired! I busted out laughing with clients everywhere looking at me like I've lost my mind. I was getting a chuckle until I read the last one and then I almost fell out of my chair. L
I would be really interested to know if you have any luck getting the BK itself removed from Public Records section of the CR's. Mine was a Chapter 13 filed in june '96, discharged in dec'2000, will fall off automatically June '2003.... but oh, how I would love to get that BK entry deleted instead of waiting another 12 months does anyone really think this is possible? I have numerous tradelines << varies from 7 entries on Equifax to 16 entries on TU >>>> on each of the CRA's. Each one has been disputed, verified, and updated to say in essence "discharged in CH13 BK, Filed June 96, discharged Dec 2000, acct closed in June 1996, zero balance. " I have never disputed anything on the BK itself because everything down to the last dotted i and crossed t is actually correct. Hmmm....any comments from the CreditNet crew? Maggie75
Maggie75, I would just dispute the BK with the CRA's. With it being so old they may delete it with no problem. Charlie
dispute what? what should I or could I dispute? date filed? discharge date? Each CRA is something to the effect of Public Records Bankruptcy Filed 06/1996; XXX District of TX; Case or Other ID Number XXXXXXXX-DSP-12/00; Individual; Personal; DISCHARGED CH-13; would it be better to do it online or in writing? I can just hear the rep LOL if I tried to do it over the phone... give me some help please? I am a really crummy liar.
I retained them in January and already I have had 22 items successfully removed from all 3 credit reports. They have been able to remove many old collection accounts, 1993 Bankruptcy (from 2 of them), recent State Tax Lien (again, just 2 of them), late payment history from closed and a ton of lates on my exisiting car loan (same deal). I am pretty impressed so far. I'm at the point now where they are sending "items were previously investigated" and "using a credit repair agency; your dispute is frivilous" stage. I am interested to see how they handle these matters. Especially the on that is still fresh at the collection agency.
Maggie75, I would dispute by letter, CRRR. You said that each CRA is reporting differently. There is your dispute. All # should be reporting exactly the same on each report. What county is your BK in? Charlie
