What does it mean when you apply online and they say unfortunately your application needs further review? I have an awesome EQ report which is usually what they pull. Does this type of response usually mean denial?. Not that I really care but just curios.

    Thanks

jrjr35, Which CC are you trying to apply for? Some CC's will do a manual review of your app if your score isn't high enough. What is your score? Charlie

I got the same message after applying online, but within 2 business days, they emailed my approval.

    jrjr,

I never get instant approval on line. When I applied for Juniper I got the same message. I recieved my new CC in the mail 8 days later.

    Good luck. :)

PS Usually when you don't get instant approval online there is some conflicting information between your application and credit report - usually address, DOB could be off, etc.

They pulled Equifax on me and my score at that time was a 763. As long as you have excellent credit, very few inquiries, and low balances you should be fine. Oh, and they like BTs. I think this is one of the few reasons that I received the card. They're looking for profitability. So, if you have balances (hence low ones) they like that because the potential to make money is there.

Good luck and keep up posted. I don't think you will have a problem. :)

As long as you have some credit history you've got a shot. Hubby had 785 FICO and got denied by them for not having enough accounts with sufficient history (one 7 yrs. old, the others are 2 or less years old).
