Many of my accts that were included in BK (and even some of my student loans) show UNKNOWN unde the Account Type column. Can i have these deleted on these grounds?

Under the FCRA all information must be up to date and accurate or you have grounds for a dispute. As for grounds for deletion you will have to see if they verify the wrong information or not.

Well this is another of those gray areas. Technically, information is supposed to be complete and accurate, however...from what I understand, they only have a duty to investigate if the dispute is not frivilous or irrelevant. Since the account was listed as included in bk and therefore has no status affecting your score, it would seem to me that the type of account would be irrelevant.

It's never up to date-let alone accurate.
