Earlier I had posted that you can not have any success with Chase via PFB. Well today, I'll have to eat my words. Here's the story, two months ago my TU report was perfectly clean, knowing that Chase usually pulls from TU I applied for their Classic card. Received a denial stating "revolving balances too high" & "excessive inquiries". To add insult to injury, with the denial they made a counter offer to obtain a secured card. My immediate reaction was, Oh well, another one for the pile. The more I thought about it, the more I convinced myself that my credit was worthy of at least their Classic card. True to my M.O., I first called for a reconsideration, then I wrote directly to them via USPS. No luck. Pulling out all stops, I wrote via PFB and in no uncertain terms, stated exactly what I wanted from them. An e-mail and a phone call later, and now I'm approved for their Classic Card with a 5k limit. They were really a tough nut to crack PFB Does work!!!
Thank you Charlie. Not sure about my TU score. I called yesterday to get it, but they TU won't give it over the phone. They are sending out a new report with my current score. I'll let you know when I get it in the next day or two.
Persistence is the key. (NanaC wherever you are). Congrats Wealth! Nice work getting what you deserve. -Peace, Dave
