I got my Cap1 platinum card with a whopping 400.00 limit. I did not expect much better from them. Any
advise on how to progress with this card? Cl increases, lower apr, etc. Is it worth keeping just to get the trade line reported? By the way, wasn't there a time when the min cl for even a gold card was 5k?

Call Eugene Cooke, his # is somewhere in the searches. He will be able maybe to bump your CL and maybe lower your%. Good luck!! Charlie

Rather than call directly, I would send a PFB complaint to establish contact with Mr. Cooke. It allows him to pull your information and call you to discuss things when he has time (if you call you will most likely be calling when he is working another case since he is a busy man).

    Good Luck

basically there are two tracks at cap 1:

    1. The subprime track
    2. The prime track.

It's very hard to jump tracks. It's taken my 2+ years to get to 3K limit on my subprime gold card. I lost the card somewhere behind my computer desk about 4-5 months ago :)

Very true, he is extremely busy. We've been playing phone tag for the last two weeks. I finally have left him my cell phone #. Hopefully that will do it. Be patient when trying to get a hold of him. We all are asking for his help and I'm sure he has to evaluate each case.

Well I followed the advise of this board and pfb cap1. Mr Cooke called me first thing this morning
and increased my limit to 900 from 400. Not bad at all, very nice guy, I guess Mr Cooke is considered most valuable employee.

    Thanks for the advise

If somebody's LOWEST card is $5,000...why would they want a card with $400...or even $1,000???
