Can someone get more than one DISCOVER card? I was just looking around and saw an adverstisment for a GOLD card for a transfer for ZERO % until December.. I am thinking of applying.. I have a Platinum card, which I use and pay monthly.

I'd be using th card to transfer some debt from hubbys or a joint account my interest is to reduce the interest further.

Yup, you can have two, I have two platinums. I even called and asked if you could have two accounts with them and they said 'yes'. However you cannot combine limits like citi.

I applied for a second Platinum account, got a letter saying they only allow one.

If you are wanting to bt, you might want to consider a different card. Discover is hiking their interest rates, from what I understand.

Thanks for the responses. I applied online for a DISCOVER CARD in my husbands name. The WEB SITE says it could take up to 30 days for a new card. I am going to try to wait this out before seeking a gold card in my name.
