Has anyone ever had Equifax go more than 30 on an investigation? Today is day thirty and I won't be able to check until tonight to see if they deleted the tradeline. I've never seen them update on a Sunday and since tomorrow is a holiday, I don't aniticpate them updating tomorrow either...although if they wait until Tuesday, that would make it 32 days. I need some encouragement here...lol. I'm so tempted to buy a score power so I can check, but then if its still there I'm going to kick myself for spending $12.95 for no reason...lol. L
I've usually gotten responses right on the 30 day mark. As for spending $12.95 look at it a different way. From the first dispute, you will get an updated report - every dispute after that requires a new updated report each time - your $12.95 can get you a new report every 30 days until you have no negatives.
My suggestion would be to wait till Tuesday, then call and check the status of your investigation. If it is complete, then you can just wait for the report in the mail. I would 'postpone' spending the $13, at least until tuesday.
Well, see, I have CreditWatch and I can check online every day. I just don't have the patience to wait until 9:00 tonight...lol. I've bitten my nails to the quick waiting for this update. Its the last major derog I have and should boost my EQ score by thirty to forty points, which would put me well into primeland at just under 700. The waiting on this one is by far harder than the wait was on any of the other ones. I'm just wondering if anyone has had them go beyond the thirty days. I've never seen it with EQ..only once with TU, so I'm wondering. Thanks! L
To know if they are updating, go to check your investigation. If the dates have all been changed to either start date 5/25/02 due date 5/26/02 , or all changed to zeroes, 00/00/00, then it is being updated today.
I just checked (thanks...I didn't know you could do that) and it says: Confirmation # Date Investigation Started Estimated Completion Date 211634403 05/23/2002 05/27/2002 Now this doesn't make any sense at all! L
I actually started this investigation on 4/26/02...found my confirmation sheet with the date on the bottom. LKH...can you please interpret what this means...lol? Thanks! L
In my experiences, this means that whatever you disputed will be either updated or deleted tomorrow..
Be wary of spending the $12.95 today. There is a very good chance that even if it has been deleted it won't show on Score Power until tomorrow anyway--a wasted $13. When I did this, I called Equifax and asked. The Score Power rep said that Score Power is not real time. It has a pretty long lag--at least a day behind the actual event. The only sure fire way to know is to wait! Sorry! I know it is hard!
