I have read several posts about people negotiating things will Cap one. Does anyone know if they are willing to make any negotiations on a charged-off account?

I have a chargeoff from 1998 that is unpaid.

yes, but try sending a letter via planetfeed back.
he will work with you but probably not delete the account.

I had a friend contact Mr. Cooke regarding this same type of matter.

She called about three weeks ago, where Mr. Cooke explained that he will work with her but needed a day or two to get the file.

Well it's been three weeks and no call back. Of course during this wait my friend has called and left three messages.

Don't really know what to make of this.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

There are lots of people that have had great success with Mr. Cooke and Cap 1. Good for them. They took bad situations and made something positive out of them.

Personally, I had a bona fide issue with Cap 1 that effected both me and my husband. I sent a letter through PFB almost 2 months ago. Mr. Cooke called me an hour later. He would get to the bottom of this! He called me back, wishy washy answers, they would fix it, yea yea yea. He was adamant that they would not delete it! That has been two months ago, and it is still reporting wrong. In the next few days I am going to send them a 3 day deletion letter through PFB and sue. No more taking their word for it. No more faith in Mr. Cooke. I am sick to death of this situation.

This journey through credit hell has tested my patience beyond belief. Monday I am filing suit in US District court against MBNA. While I am there, I might as well file against Next Card and Capital One. Why not? I could save myself a trip. The complaint would read the same for all of them, just change the name!
