I just had a three bureau report pulled for a mortgage and my scores were different than what I have. The Equifax was right on, but the trans union was higher and the experian way lower. Are we not seeing the actual scores? If not what good are they?
I tried a search and there are over 5000 posts! So I guess the scores are useless then unless we have it actually pulled. Does anyone know if Trans Union normally runs low or high, Experian- low or high?
The scores generally follow the same model as the true FICOs. Although the scores may vary from the real ones, they do serve a purpose - when the fake ones move up or down, the FICOs tend to do the same.
Re: Are the scores "actual"? ============================= There is no such thing. ------------------------------------------------------- All scores including F I C O are derived from inaccurate incomplete information. This defective information is then misinterpreted and all scores are developed from the results of this highly flawed process.
The scores generally follow the same model T as the so called true FICOs. Although the scores may vary from the alledged real ones, they do serve a purpose - when the fake ones move up or down, the false FICOs tend to do the same.
Well I just pulled my Equifax score and it was 567 which shocked the shit out of me. Only a month ago it was 671 according to Qspace. I pulled the same report on Qspace just now and my Equifax was 677. Now I don't who to trust :-( BTW Experian said my score was 640 and Qspace gave my score as 641 so they're pretty much on target. Transunion locked me out again (Equifax and Transunion take turns) so I'll have to holler at them next week. I'm beginning to get a little tired when 3 digit number begin to dictate my life.
You are closer to the truth with this statement than you realize! The CREDIT GODS actually do dictate your financial life by credit reporting and scoring.
My scores from all three are pretty close...they vary between 620-640. My score at the Credit Union from Experian was a 510...go figure...
When I applied for the auto loan at the CU my TU score was 597 (I think) and when they pulled it the Empirica (TU's fico monster) came in at 661. This was a shocker for me. Other than that, I can count on EQ's score to be very close since it's a true FICO and CreditExpert I just use as a measuring stick. I have no idea what the actual score is.
