handwriting validation letters (and further letters) to CA's and OC's or is typing it up on my CPU all in the same?
I suggest you print up everything on your computer. You don't want a sleazy CA trying to use your handwriting and/or signature against you ( like duplicating it onto a bogus contract or agreement letter).
SLOYAROLE, I agree with mindcrime2 on typing everything and not signing the letter if you are sending the letter to anyone EXCEPT a CRA. My opinion, in dealing with a CRA keep it simple and do not sign your name, but print your name, address and city, state and zip. You want it to look like you are ignorant and really do have a inaccurate tradeline or whatever you are disputing. At least for the 1st couple of letters then start getting a little more aggressive with each letter. You don't want them to label you as "frivolous or irrelevent" until you can nail them. The CA, on the other hand, show them up front that they are guilty and you will settle for nothing but what you want. Under no circumstances should you sign your name. Charlie
I forgot, I'm not an expert just someone who butts their head against the wall from time to time. Charlie
APPRECIATE THE COMMENTS. I WAS JUST WONDERING BECAUSE AFTER I TYPED MY VALIDATION LETTER, I COULD'NT MAKE MY MIND UP AS TO HANDWRITING IT OR NOT... TAHNKS
Type it, it's easier, I handwrote my first one and I look back and think what was I thinking. And I do not agree with looking ignorant to the CRAs. I think it helps if you act and know as though you are literate, and are able to bring up facts and facts about the FCRA - my .02 worth.
