Have been approved for this...should I attempt to upgrade to something better...I applied for this one because people have said this is the easiest way to get your foot in the door...
cash rebate card is 0% for 6 months no annual fee. take the 0% for 6 months, no fee, then switch to another product (with another intro fee). Up to you how you use your credit
they won't give the terms or limit over the phone...what is a typical limit to start?? I saw their percentage rate is at 14.74....on their website.
The DELTA card should be a *PAID IN FULL CARD* If you "REVOLVE" it makes the MILES very expensive...you might as well just buy the ticket!!!
I was planning on paying in full each month...but will it report a limit...was wondering about my ratio's and how they'll be affected...could I upgrade/change to Blue once I get the card...I haven't read too much on here about AMEX backdoors.
I don't know about trading AMEX...I CAN'T EVEN GET A LIMIT INCREASE AFTER ALMOST 3 YEARS... But I finally did get 12.99%---->9.99%
So...I take it you haven't been happy with them in general? Are they real tough to deal with? How did you finally get your APR down? Do you carry a balance? If so why wouldn't they occassionally raise your limit?
They REFUSE to raise it because I REFUSE TO "APPLY" FOR A LIMIT INCREASE!!! It is NOT worth an inquiry...
I'm from the "OLD SCHOOL"...you PAY ON TIME, NEVER LATE, NEVER OVER-LIMIT...you get an increase EVERY YEAR...even if it is ONLY $500...BUT YOU GET ONE!!!
Don't they pull ARs every once in a while? That should be sufficient if they want to see your other credit lines.
Mine reports the limit and reported it right away. Strange, because gremlins have been playing with my other Amex cards. They appear/disappear/ have wrong limits/balance owed. I think Amex is the best card out there. I just want them to get their reporting straight. I like the companies that report like clockwork, on the same day every month, the correct credit line, the correct amount owed. It shouldn't be so difficult, should it? Funny, but my 2 favorite cards--- Amex and Citi are the ones who have been so erratic with reporting. BofA and Chase are always right on time. The good news about Citi is that when I faxed their credit reporting unit they did an online update within a week. I really appreciated that. I think the Amex credit reporting unit is overwhelmed because of the whole account number change and is having trouble getting their proverbial ducks in a row. I hope they "get it together" bc they are my favorite cards. Maybe I should do a huge balance transfer. Seems like CCCs LOVE to report those.
DO YOU HAVE A PHONE # FOR THE CREDIT REPORTING UNIT...my AMEX BLUE is still gone from EXPERIAN for more than 6 months!!! I AM WORRIED THEY DID A "HARD" DELETE...all because I wanted the N/A changed to $15,500!!!
I sent Citi a PFB because my acct isn't showing on Experian. They sent me back a letter stating they have reported it, and they will do a manual update to try and get it showing. That was 2 months ago. I've had the card since early January and it still isn't showing on Experian.
LKH...if you don't mind me asking, which AMEX did you get and what type of limit and APR...and score/derogs at the time...thanx
I got the gold Delta Skymiles. They gave me $10,000 limit and the apr is 14.74%, which is what all the delta cards start at. In a couple of months I will try to get that reduced. When approved, they pulled Equifax. I had 0 derogs and a 680 score.
I got and applied for the regular one...because of the lower fee...but they won't tell me over the phone what the limit is...have to wait for the membership package...thanx for the heads up...they pulled equifax for me too...no derogs, score 700...I'd imagine I'd get 5k at least...citiaa only gave me 3500 Thanx for the reply!
Tried to convert gold delta to platinum rebate but was refused. I was offered optima platinum, hilton, starwood or golf.
