Well my battle has ended on the collection account from hell. I guess in total I spent a solid three months on this account. Last CA on my report. They were tough, I sent every letter I could conjure up and nothing happened. When I put together my intent to sue letter they jumped around like clowns in a circus. I used a combo intent to sue letter off this board, I kept it short, sweet, and meaningful. I also attached a small claims suit all typed out with the appropriate registered agent, this case the president of the company. I faxed it through and within hours had a phone call from their attorney. Very nice feller, agreed to help me in any way. He just didn't want to proceed any further with the suit. Today he called and faxed me a UDF that he sent to equifax for deletion of the account. He stated that he had learned a great deal about this and was thanking me for the experience(haha). This account was paid and they were still sending me invoices billing me. I know I could have taken them to court and got lots o cash, but all I wanted was the deletion.
one more thing. I would like to thank everyone on this board for the knowledge you have supplied. I could have not done this, had it not been for this board. thank you
Congratulations! The last ones are always the hardest. I'm in the same boat, except I have friends that I'm helping also so there are a lot of LAST ones for me. The bad thing is the friends keep multiplying. It has to be a great feeling. Charlie
