I want to call them to see if they'll reduce my APR again or increase my limit, but I don't want to call their regular CS department.
Dave...how long before you called to reduce your apr on Target? How low did they go? Hubby and I both have a Target Visa and both have high aprs. L
That is the route I had to take to get anywhere,& I don't think that they have a direct # to the "R" dept. I asked for a supervisor when I would not acheive my request(but never had to go higher than that). Let us know... Sister Girl
I think it was the second or third month. They reduced from 18.9% to 15.9%. I tried before I even activated the card and they said no.
I called right after activating and got the apr reduced to 15.9%. The rep actually told me they are doing that on the spot for anybody that asks. It will be done 1 time only just for asking.
How long before they increase CL? I've had mine for 4 months, I'm thinking of closing it because it's only $2k.
it's my lowest limit card. even my crappy Orchard has $2300! Hang in there, I've been there with $200 limits. Once you pass $1k, it's smooth sailing.
I ONLY got $10,000 instant...15.90% cut to 12.90%...won't go any lower... Wife $10,000 instant...18.90% cut to 15.90%...won't go any lower... I GOT $500 INCREASE...WIFE NONE...SHE WAS TOLD THEY DO IT AUTOMATICALLY (YOU CAN'T ASK)...I'M SO CONFUSED!!! SOMEBODY HERE SAID THEY GOT 18.90% DOWN TO 9.90% ON ONLY ONE CALL...
George - the APR 1x before expires is bunk. Keep calling 'til you get a rep that will do it. I went 18.9 -> 15.9 on activation, then to 9.9 by PFB after 6 months (paid off every month). I used your # for limit increases - the authorizations people - and both times they've done it (2k after 6th month, 1.5k more after 9th month). Maybe I'm having good luck 'cause the account has some "roots". My Guest Card was created from the Target portion of my Marshall Fields account and dates back to 1990 (the Field's account goes back to '88). Keep tryin' -mj
They kept on saying I already had a limit increase...I SAID I GOT $10,000 at CHRISTMAS time instant approval on-line with the $10,000!!! THEY GAVE ME A WHOLE $500!!! BUT WIFE GOT NOTHING!!!
I thought I read somewhere a while back where a person got the 18.9% rate, had it lowered to 15.9% prior to actually "opening" the account, and then called back soon after and got down to 12.9%. I wonder if there is a trick to it. Still, that's not 9.9% (grr). Good luck.
I tried PFB...was IGNORED... 9.90% is still too HIGH...but it is the best they have... I said I will NOT be giving you any interest money as long as it is above 9.90%...they don't care???
