Also applied yesterday online...sent an email this morning saying congradulations you're approved...don't know the limit yet but will call shortly! Do gas cards count towards "retail" cards when determaining fico? Is Best Buy and Chevron enough for the retail section?
Wow...that's great! I got the Chevron credit builders card back in like 10/2000. They still haven't raised my limit from $300. I pay almost in full each month and I leave a small balance just to make them happy.

I thought is was a low limit but I've never had a gas card so didn't have anything to compare it to...just wanted to get something (that pulled equ) that would help my ratios...and if I need it...there it is...I'll use it every so often and pay in full to keep it active...Have you tried calling for an increase?
Glad that made you fee better! LOL... I called one time like last Thanksgiving and they weren't trying to hear it. If I remember correctly, since my account is sort of special (Credit Builders) that I'm not eligable to go to a regular card status with increase for 2 years I think. I'm not really trippin on Chevron at this point. $300 is enough for me but if they want to increase it, then fine.

I think that gas cards tend to have lower limits. After all, who needs more then $600 of gas a month? Also, I think most people keep their gas cards payed off each month. Trevor Hattaway
Interestingly, my wife has a $3000 limit on her Chevron card. We buy all our groceries there!!!! LMAO
