Hi PBM - I have Windows XP - but cannot get onto CREDITNET through regular explorer - it just stops. However, I can get here - obviously - through AOL. I want to dump AOL but want to access this site... Any ideas what to adjust so I can get to the board directly thru Explorer - and not having to use AOL? Can you help? Many thanks as always - dogman
Wow, we can not solve this...anyone tried Windows XP and having the same kind of problems? We checked DNS servers and security settings...Dog can surf all the web sites but one or 2 (CreditNet being one of the 2) through his new connection. Then if he dials up through AOL, he gets all of the sites. -Peace, Dave
The other site is FCNB - and when I go there thru AOL, I notice they seem to ask me to fill in my info - like I'm registering as a new user.... so convenient ; aarfff - dogman
Hi dogman, Please email me with details on your other (non-AOL) connection including gateway and DNS information. As much as I enjoy blaming Microsoft, I doubt XP is the problem. Thanks, pbm P.S. I will move this message to the Feedback forum once you have replied.
I have XP on my Gateway, once in a while I can't access CN, but when that happens, I can't access any site. I can always get it thru explorer, except when the site is down <eg>
