Hi I applied for the target card online my Equifax score was 680. Woman told me that they rejected me because my address on equifax read Apt 1 as opposed to 1st Floor that i wrote on my application my score went down 5 points. I was told to aplly with the address that eqi=uifax had on file which i did and i got rejected again this time score down to 672!! What can i do to get any inquiries off??? Did anyone else ever have these problems?? Can u recooemnd another card with this score? Experian is 650 Tu is 641 thanks dan
and customer service phone rep could not handle? may try calling back and see if they can do anything (without another inquiry) good luck keep us posted!
they said i would have to apply again i did and same result!! She said my score were fine to hget the card nut online address had to be a perfect match!! what can i do??
Re: please hellp newbie rejected by My suggestion: go to equifax.com - and ask for a free report due to credit declined. when you get the report - check your address and then send them your correct address using verification documents (phone bill and gas bill). Tell them to mail you a new corrected credit report. Then call the bozos at Target and explain the situation - make sure they do not pull another inquiry. Tell them you will send your updated credit report - with verification documents (phone bill and gas bill) like you did with Equifax and have them reconsider. DEMAND that they remove the 2nd hard inquiry form Equifax. If they don't do it - send a letter to Equifax stating that you did not authorize the 2nd inquiry. i know it's a hassle - but I don't see any other way.
Re: please hellp newbie rejected by I would just call EQ and say you want to dispute the inquiries. They are pretty good about inquiry disputes. I wouldn't even bring up the Target problem. Keep it simple. Charlie

If i'm wrong - please tell me - there are a few inquiries that i want to dispute on Eq
