Experian Letter To Delete Inquiries

    Hi all:
    I'm planning on sending the following letter to EXperian - due to the sad fact that Doc's trick no work no more.
    I decided not to be all hard ass on them - however I'm curious to know what other members think. Here's the letter:

    June 18, 2002
    Experian, P.O. Box 9556, Allen, TX 75013

    Date of birth:
    Current Address:
    Previous Address:

    Dear Madam/Sir,

    On my credit report referenced above the following companies pulled my credit report on the following dates:

    CITI CARDS CBSDNA
    Address: PO BOX 6000 SIOUX FALLS SD 57117
    Date of Request: 10/20/2001

    PROVIDIAN FINANCIAL
    Address: PO BOX 99607 ARLINGTON TX 76096
    Date of Request: 06/13/2001

    WELLS FARGO CARD SERVICE
    Address: PO BOX 3696 PORTLAND OR 97208
    Date of Request: 02/21/2001

    I did not apply for credit with these companies, on these dates.
    Please delete these inquiries from my report.

    I tried..all they did was sending me a new copy of credit report w/ evrything UNCHANGED!

    Looks like a very nice letter, but I would not get your hopes up, EXP almighty are just bast**ds.

    Mark LA, I don't know how EX is acting towards snail mail inquiry disputes nowadays, but I would add "or employment". It's amazing on how EX did a complete about face policy wise towards inquiries. They used to be the easiest to dispute. Charlie

    Mark LA, I forgot to ask you, did you send the $1000 inquiry letter to the creditor pulling your reports? Charlie
