Today I received my silver colored Target Visa. :) But that reminded me that I had yet to hear from Household. I was pretty sure that I had been declined. First, they pulled Experian (yuk!) and I didn't get an automatic approval online - I got the "we will let you know in 7 - 10 days". Well that was on 6/21. They are late!
Soooo, a glutton for punishment, I called them. I was put onto the applications line. I gave the girl my information. She checked my mothers maiden name for security, and then told me that I had been approved!!! Shocked, I was!

Ok, so it's only $300 limit. But, it is a start and both cards are unsecured! :)

    Congratulations Momof5, good news.

I know it felt good when I got my Cap1 unsecured approved.

Take good care of the cards, timely payments, ....you know the drill. I have to do the same for this Cap1.

By the way, how did you get the Target card - online?

    Congratulations.

Most of us have stories of the first $300 card. After removing the mistakes on my report I was able to turn my $300 card into a $5000 Platinum card in about a year.

It only gets better from here.

Did they pull a hard inquiry? I have a friend that got their Orchard card and they pulled a soft one. Why can't all the CC's do that? Charlie

    Thank you all! :)

    To answer the questions:

Yes, they pulled a hard inquiry, but look, I was approved with a 590! (Not to mention the BK13, Bk7, Judgement all there!)

I applied for Target online. That was a bit easier as you can see,my Equifax (which they pulled), is 693.

I am definitely going to take care of business this time. It feels good not to feel worthless. I have made some mistakes in my life. (First BK7 was a $72,000 custody battle, Bk13 - an alkie husband.)

My goal in life is to take care of me and my kids. I have a great job, good friends, healthy kids! Much to be thankful for! With ya'lls help, I should be able to buy this house I am living in come next August (when the BK7 goes away!). :)

I am also blessed to be a veteran of the USAF and will be able to use my eligibility to buy this house.

It's only up from here! Bless all of you for your help, advice and wisdom. <<group hug>>

Yes, I still have 10 negatives on Experian. I am still working on them. 3 are public records and the CH7 is 9 years old. It rolls of 8/03. The Ch13 rolls off 1/05. I have filed a motion to vacate the judgment and haven't heard from the court yet. The rest are:
    1 paid collection
    1 settled CC
1 "included in Ch13/never late" CC
2 AAA Collectors that I have been challenging. Both are after SOL.
1 CMI - account is cable account and the $ is for the equipment. I have the receipt.
1 Diversified Intl - $1100 dentist, but the CA Violated FDCPA, so I am hoping that lawsuit threat will get rid of them.
1 Transouth acct that even Arcadia/Transouth cannot find on their computer system.

Still working on clearing these up. I figure that I am doing OK, I only started in April. When I started, I pulled truecredit to get all 3. I had 22 pages of derrogs. 75% gone month one! :)

    C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! !

I applied for a Target card 7/4. I got "requires further processing, will receive a decision in 2 weeks". You've given me hope that I will get it. Although, you have a higher score than me, but I do not have any derog on Equifax, wish me luck!!!

Again, way to go, enjoy using your card!!!!!
