Just got notice on Friday. Fixed Rate of 6.5 for 30 years with FHA!!! My scores are EQ: 624 EXP: 585 TU: 617 The weird thing is that on MY TU report it says that my score is 545. So my question is.. if I apply for a credit card and they pull the TU report, what score will they get?? Will they get the one I get or the one that the mortgage company got? Thanks
I am sure you know not to apply for a CC now. Apply the minute you walk into your new house with keys and mortgage in hand! The mortgage company will likely pull another report at closing, no need jepordizing your future house.
...but if or when you do apply for a credit card that pulls TU, the score they'll get will be the same as, or very close to, the one your mortgage lender saw. Congrats on your approval, btw. wajaba
Congrats on the approval. I refinanced using the same program late last year. Got the same rate. But heed everyone's warnings... Don't apply for ANYTHING until you walk out of your closing with the keys in hand. They WILL pull another report the day of the closing. They did for me anyway.
If you don't mind me asking, what were the terms of the loan and the amount. Did you have to do anything creditwise before they would close the loan? Thanks for the help..
Congrats! That is such an exciting moment! And, it bears repeating and repeating! DO NOT APPLY FOR ANYTHING NOW!
I am not applying for anything until I walk through the door of my new home!!! I worked to hard for this to mess it up now. My terms are 3% down. My seller is paying 100% of my closing costs. I did not have to pay anything down because the only thing on my CR is a current car & student loan. I do have a couple of paid collections that were from 1997 that I was able to explain. I did have to be on the loan by myself because my husband has some derogatory things on his CR and I didn't have time to clear his up before applying for the mortgage. So now I am working on his so HE can apply for the credit cards. Home Depot or Lowes is going to be our first choice...LOL .....15 days till settlement. I never though I would see the day!
