I am going after our dentist. My question is, what association regulates them? I want ever angle I can to threaten them with.

The A.D.A. - American Dental Association...what do you mean by "regulates"?

If you are referring to billing or reporting to CRA's ... the FCRA and the FCBA NOT the FDCPA.

Also check professional licensing (ask someone at the Deptartment of State...they will know what this is and provide contact info).

Pretty much when we took our boy in they said we could get 2 treatments. They said with our insurance neither would have a co-pay. Suddenly it pops up that we owe then $150 and it is with a CA. Something is gonna hit my equifax report tomorrow and I am sure this is it. I am gonna call the CA tomorrow and threaten to sue them for ??fraud??. I wanted the info of who regulates them(for example the banking commission for credit cards) and I will tell them I will file a complaint. Also, what is the FCBA and are there any violations against the OC I can file? I am really pissed because we are in the middle of getting a mortgage and I am sick of these people lying and instead of working it out they just send to a CA and try and ruin peoples credit for 7 years.

Oh, then forget professional licensing. They won't be able to help you. Sorry!

How about your states Attorney General? The Dentist has a business why not file a complaint.
