I called Equifax this morning and they said my problem should be fixed today or tomorrow(7/25,7/26).

I logged in and no errors. Everything looks the same. Inquiries haven't changed, credit file looks fine, same score as before.

How long have you had this problem?? Have you been calling/emailing often?? I am still looking at 45D and anytime I call the morons, they claim there is nothing they can do:(

Mine 45D error started last Friday night 7/19. I called that night and talked to a supervisor.(I posted on the Davel45d thread).

I emailed customer care yesterday. I called again this morning.

I was hoping they fixed it for everybody, not just performing a case by case kludge of some sort.

Mine's now working. I'd received the error for a few weeks (I lost count exactly). Anyway, I just pulled my report and score! :)

Ok, I can't resist hubris just this once:
    Equifax... 789 ...up from 564 (March 2001)
Note: a couple months back I was just a few points from 800; heeding the "too many bank cards" warning, I closed one, and -- voila -- my score decreased. Live and learn.

I'm with Momof3 on this one. They claim there's nothing they can do to fix my report. Wrong answer. I'm planning on obtaining an attorney early next week. This is absolute BS. Anyone else interested in filing suit against Equifax? I've totally lost patience with them at this point.

Doc: Still a member of the 45-day club?

Huh??? Unfortunately I was never a member of that lofty club. I did see a couple drop off mysteriously at the 1 year mark, though. Later I began getting the notorious error. Did the International Travel Fairy tell you I was a member of the 45-day club?

    Doc,

Did you email them to complain or call and complain? I've done both and it's gotten me an email that said it could be fixed if they 'split' my file. I told them hell no, I didn't want my file split. They then told me there's nothing they could do and would refund me my money. I don't want a refund, I just want to continue to access the service. Everyone pulls EQ in my area and I really loved the service. Maybe if I wait long enough it will just start working again?

I did complain by phone. Then I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. I also flat-out told them I did NOT want them to cancel the service because I fully intended on using it but that I wanted them to fix it pronto. I was nicer to the supervisor but still solid in my expectations. The guy called me back and said it should be fixed "sometime in the next few weeks." The supervisor seemed very sincere, acknowledging the Catch-22 problem (pulling the report generates 2 soft inquiries each time, but the accumulation of soft inquiries over time makes it impossible to pull more reports). In the conversation I praised Experian's CreditExpert product, and he said that he had indeed seen their product and liked their system. I truly got the idea that they were completely aware of the problem and fully intended to fix it for everyone.

That phone call occurred last week. I didn't attempt to pull a report again until yesterday. It worked! As far as I can tell, no inquiries had falled off in the interim. Who knows, though. Their system is screwy. When it stopped working for me I was in the habit of pulling one report every day. Now that I slacked off, it worked. Who knows what the real story is... ?

I recall you reported being admitted to their club:

Yep, looks like that was the 365 club, not the 45 one. Probably you're not good enough LOL

Hehehe, Saar, well, like Woody Allen, I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would have me anyway.
